Daughter of the kind general Urvanos, Santa Cristina is originally from Tyros in Syria. Her father locked her in a tower with pagan idols and tortured her to make her renounce her faith in Jesus Christ who protected her during her long martyrdom. When she was thrown into the sea, she received the baptism of Christ himself and was saved. His suffering continued even after his father died. She was taken to court and through her countless torture and suffering many people believed and converted to the Christian religion.
